Senior Teresa Gorbett scored four goals, including the game winner to lead12th-ranked Santa Barbara to a 7-6 win over 11th-ranked Michigan on Wednesday.
Gorbett scored three of her four goals in the second half to bring the Gauchos back from a two-point deficit at the half. The Gauchos also received two goals by Erika Clark and a goal from Alaina Whitaker. Meg Knudtsen led the Wolverines with two goals.
Kristin McGlennon recorded nine saves in the second half of play to help secure the victory after replacing Erin Enriquez who recorded five saves in the first half.
The victory improves UCSB's record to 6-4. Michigan drops to 4-8 overall.
The Gauchos return to action on Friday, February 28 when they travel to San Jose to play in the Spartans in MPSF match play at 4 p.m.
