10th-Ranked Women's Water Polo Recorded Three Straight Victories And One Loss for the Weekends Matches

Feb. 17, 2003

PRINCETON, N.J.-10th-ranked UC Santa Barbara Women's Water Polo team improved to an overall record of 5-4 and 0-1 in Mountain Pacific, after finishing 3-1 in the Princeton Tournament. Santa Barbara handed losses to George Washington, Harvard, and Princeton before dropping their final game to 13th-ranked Indiana.

The Gauchos were led in scoring by senior Erin Lezak and freshman standout, Jennifer D'Anna, who both recorded seven goals a piece for the weekends matches. Sophomore goalie, Christy Medigovich recorded 30 saves in four games despite not playing every minute in each match.
