Played at Santa Barbara High School under coaches John Gannon and Lee Carlander...Was a three-year varsity letterwinner for volleyball...Named First Team All-Channel League as a senior and Second Team as a junior...Helped her team to back-to-back Channel League titles in 2006 and 2007...In 2006, the Dons were the CIF Division I-A runners-up and state quarterfinalists...Was also a two-year member of the surf team...Was the number one women's shortboarder in the Southern California Interscholastic Surfing Federation in 2006 and was number three in 2005...Was a member of the National Honors Society and California Scholarship Foundation.

An eight-year member of Santa Barbara Volleyball Club...Played under UCSB alum Liz Towne-Gilbert and Jason Donnelly...As a libero, she was named to the All-Tournament Team at the 2008 Junior Olympics in Dallas, Texas.

Jane Patricia Hinkle was born on Jan. 3, 1990 in Santa Barbara, Calif....Daughter of Julie and Tom Hinkle...She has one older sister, Katherine...Has yet to declare a major at UCSB...Off the court, she enjoys surfing, beach volleyball, hanging out at the beach, and listening to music...Says that winning the Archbishop Mitty Tournament her senior year was her most memorable athletic achievement.
