2007 Season -- Had a good freshman season, setting personal bests in the 800m (2:13) and the 1500m (4:39)...Qualified for Conference in the 800m and placed 6th...Ran her personal best in the 800m at the Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational, finishing in 5th and topping her previous time by almost a second...Her best time of 2:13.67 is currently the 9th-fastest in school history...Won the 1500m at the Ben Brown Invitational, setting her personal best at 4:39.43...The week before, she won the 800m at the All-Cal Challenge with a time of 2:17.29...Was 5th among freshmen in the 800m at the Cal-Nevada meet.
High School -- Alyssa finished 7th at the CIF Southern Section Div. I Finals in the 1600m, as well as 8th in the 800m later that afternoon... At the South Coast League final, Brown set a personal best mark at 1600m, cracking the 5:00 minute barrier, running away with a title in 4:58.25 and new meet record. She then doubled back to win the 800m title... Her 1600m time ranked her 21st in the state of California and was a school record... As a high school junior, she ran her lifetime best at 3200m with a time of 11:18.89 at the South Coast League finals.
