STOCKTON, Calif. - The UC Santa Barbara women's tennis team defeated Big West rival Pacific 5-2 in Stockton Friday. The Gauchos swept the doubles point, winning at all three positions. UCSB went on to win four of the six singles matches for the victory.
No. 101 ranked Uzma Khan won her 12th straight match of the season. She is undefeated in dual match play at 12-0 and is 21-2 overall for the 2002-03 season. Khan defeated Pacific's Katharina Heil 6-0, 6-2.
UCSB improves to 8-5 overall and 2-2 in the Big West. Pacific falls to 2-10.
The Gauchos continue their three-match roadtrip in Stockton Saturday when they play Utah State in Big West action.
