IRVINE, Calif. - The UC Santa Barbara women's tennis team lost a Big West Conference match Saturday, falling to UC Irvine 6-1 in Irvine. The Gauchos were swept in doubles and won only one singles match in the loss.
UCSB's No. 78 ranked Uzma Khan continued her streak at No. 1 singles, defeating UCI's Jenny Bowman 6-1, 6-3. Khan is an undefeated 9-0 in dual matches this season at No. 1 singles.
The Gauchos fall to 6-3 overall and are 1-1 in Big West play. The Anteaters move to 5-5 on the season and are 2-0 in conference play.
UCSB hosts Big West foe Cal Poly February 27 at 1:30 pm.
