Santa Barbara, Calif.- UC Santa Barbara defeated the University of San Diego 118-87 in dual meet action Saturday afternoon at campus pool. The Gauchos coming off a loss to Pacific the day before bounced back with a victory over the Toreros.

A talented trio that included senior Julia King, sophomore Lindsay Dalonzo, and freshman standout Danielle Taylor led the Gauchos with an individual win each. King turned in a time of (52.80) in the 100 freestyle while Dalonzo's time of (25.16) was good enough for the victory in the 50 freestyle. Taylor ram away with the 200 backstroke to easily touch first in a time of (2:07.18).

The Toreros were led by the outstanding performances of Ashley Swart who dominated the field in the 200 breaststroke (2:17.85) and 400 Individual Medley (4:18.84). Other standout performers for the Toreros included Erin Bowman and Carolyn Gorrick.
