2004: Finished fifth in both the 1000 and 1650 freestyle at the Big West Championship...Also finished 10th in the 500 free...Recorded UCSB's fastest time in the 1650 free...2003: Placed third in the 1000 free, fifth in the 1650 free and sixth in the 500 free at the Big West Championships...Led the Gauchos in both the 1000 and 1650 freestyles...2002: Took third in the 1000 and 1650 freestyles at the Big West Championships...Also placed seventh in the 500 free...Swam the top time in the 1000 free.

Swam the 200 and 500 freestyles for University City High School...Team MVP in 2001...Coached by Adam Thompson...Swam club for North Coast Aquatics under coach Jeff Pease.

Born September 17, 1983...Parents are Robert and Amy Murad...Has three siblings, including twin sister, Abby, who is also on the UCSB swim team...Most memorable sports moment was being CIF champion in the 200 and 500 freestyles.
