2001 XC Outlook:
One of the team's top returners will be called upon again to provide depth
necessary to put the team at the national level.
2001 Track Recap:
Bettered both his steeplechase time and 5k time by over 10 seconds from a year
ago. Finished 2nd at the all-UC meet steeple, and 7th at the conference
championship steeple race.
Coach's Notes:
Earned All-Conference honors with 8th place finish at 2000 Big West XC
Championships... Finished 89th (out of 350+) at Pre-NCAA XC Meet... Set 8k XC PR
of 25:50 with 7th place finish at 2000 Fresno State Invitational… Finished
18th a the 2000 Stanford Invitational… Top Gaucho finisher at 1999 UC Irvine
XC Invite with a 26:02 8k, but was forced to redshirt rest of the season due to
injury… Finished 9th in 3,000SC at 2000 Big West T&F
Championships...Walked on as a freshman in 1998.

Majoring in Law and Society. Family includes his parents Chris and Kathi
von Guenthner, along with his brother Tyson, and sister Amiee.
