UC Santa Barbara outscored Pacific 6-1 in the second half and claimed the 9-4 win on the strength of three goals each from Brian Alexander and Steve Traverso. The 11th-ranked Gauchos then dropped a 9-6 decision to UC Irvine on Sunday evening and finished tenth in the tourney.
Eddie Wisniewski led the No. 10 Tigers with three goals. Pacific will meet Cal Baptist in the 11th-place contest.

In the ninth-place game, No. 7 UC Irvine scored the final three goals of the game to defeat 11th-ranked UC Santa Barbara 9-6. After the Gauchos' Doug Arthur tied the game on a goal with 6:10 remaining in the fourth quarter, the Anteaters received goals from Curt Merlo (5:26), Rick Merlo (2:39) and Nate White (1:52). Dan Noon led the Anteaters with three goals.
