The UC Santa Barbara men's volleyball team was defeated by CS Northridge on Wednesday in a four game match, 25-30, 30-25, 30-20, 30-27. The Gauchos lost to Northridge for the second time in a week, the first taking place at the UCSB/Elephant Bar Tournament last weekend.

Jan Carlo Zegarra led the Gauchos for kills and digs, with a total of 18 kills, and 12 digs. Nate Wack followed Zegarra with 15 kills of his own, as well as 7 digs. Big hitters for the Matadors were Joe Nargi (18 kills) and Nils Nielsen (14 kills). Service errors were a weak spot for the Gauchos, and cost them 18 points throughout the match.

Next, the Gauchos travel to Indiana to face Indiana Purdue at Fort Wayne on Friday and again Sunday.
