2003 Track Recap: Mark cleared a personal best 16' 0.75" to finish sixth at Big West and qualify for the NCAA Regional Championship... also contributed in the javelin and high jump at scoring meets.
Coach's notes: Martello transfered to UCSB from Saddleback JC, where he cleared 14'6" in the vault and was named Field Athlete of the Year...a CA HS State Meet qualifier for San Clemente, with a HS best of 14'0".
Personal: Mark played football at the HS and JC level, and enjoys surfing and snowboarding.
