2003 Cross Country
Ground breaking season for Gardina as he stepped into the ranks of the elite
level of college running. Jeff automatically qualified for the NCAA XC
championships as an individual by finishing 11th at the Western Regional
championships. He went on to finish 115th at the NCAA meet. The
team's MVP also placed 4th at the Big West Championships and won the Riverside
Invite.
2003 Track
Continued to make strides towards the upper levels of running. Won several races including his heat at Stanford Invite clocking a season best of 14:37.
2002 Cross Country
Stepped up as a solid contributor for the Gauchos, placing as the team's top five finisher in all major races...Took 55th at the NCAA regional meet covering the 10K course in 32:25, and 95th at the Pre-National NCAA meet with a 8K time of 25:23.
Coach's notes: As a freshman in 2000, led the "UCSB B-Team" at the Cal Poly SLO Invite, and ran an 8k Personal best of 25:54 at the CS Fullerton Invitational as a true freshman. Walked on to the team with little high school running experience.
2000 Cross Country
A redshirt for the Gauchos after coming out of high school with little competitive running experience...As an independent runner competing in invitational races he posted a PR of 25:54 in the 8k.

Attended Piner High School with bests of 9:48 in the 3200m.
