FRESNO, Calif. - The UC Santa Barbara men's tennis team, ranked No. 70 in the latest Omni Hotels Collegiate Rankings, lost to Big West Conference foe Pacific 5-2 Saturday in Stockton. The Gauchos lost the doubles point and scored wins in only two of the six singles spots. UCSB's Mirco Schwindt defeated UOP's Lennart Maack 6-4, 5-3 ret. at No. 2 singles. Michael Frick defeated Maxime Lacroix 6-2, 3-6 (13-11) at No. 6 singles.
The Gauchos have a shot at another Big West team Wednesday when they host Cal Poly. UCSB falls to 8-7 with the loss.
