SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The UC Santa Barbara men's tennis team posted a 6-1 victory Saturday over Loyola Marymount at UCSB's RecCen Courts. After squeaking through two tight tie-breakers to sweep the opening doubles point, the Gauchos crushed the Lions at the bottom of the singles lineup.
Freshman Nicholas Brotman was impressive in his dual match debut, running away with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 6 singles.
The gauchos, 2-1, hit the road next week to challenge Northern Arizona and nationally ranked Arizona in Tucson Saturday and Sunday.
