Santa Barbara, Calif.- UC Santa Barbara fell to defending Big West Conference Champions Pacific in dual meet action Friday at campus pool.

The Gauchos only trailed 25 points mid way through the meet, when the Tigers turned up the heat to finish the meet 75 points ahead of UCSB.

Senior Filip Wronski, who turned in three victories for the afternoon, led the Tigers with wins in the both breaststroke (56.82)(2:05.04) events and the 200 individual medley (1:53.94). Senior Matt Smart also recorded two victories for Pacific in the 100 (46.17) and 200 freestyle (1:38.23).

The Gauchos were led by junior Eric Koch who had two top finishes in the 500 (4:36.35) and 1000 (9:26.01) freestyle. Freshman sensation Patrick Ota dominated the field in the 100 backstroke (50.66) on his way to victory.
